| Oceanjet to build world-class terminal facility at SRP |
CEBU, Philippines - Ocean Fast Ferries Corporation (OceanJet) will soon sign a lease contract agreement with the Cebu City government for the establishment of a world-class terminal facility at the north-east side of the South Road Properties (SRP).
Cebu Investments and Promotions Center (CIPC) managing director Joel Mari S. Yu said that OceanJet will sign anytime this month or the next, a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the City Government for a 25-year lease contract of a 4,800 square meter property at SRP, specifically located with the four hectare Kawit Island.
"This will be a major development for the ferry passengers because it will shorten their travel time by at least 15 minutes," Yu said.
He added that the ferry boat will no longer have to pass by the Mactan channel where the speed limit needs to be reduced, plus additional savings on fuel consumption. |
